AIM Academy is proud to present a special seminar!
We will be breaking down the details for what it will take to be successful in college applications! We are lucky to have Joyce Yamaguchi, a former CVHS instructor, give priceless information about how students can put their best foot forward and achieve their maximum potential. There will also be a time for Q&A afterwards. This event is free! We, of course, offer our own special College Counseling Program, but regardless of whether or not a student signs up for our program, there will be excellent information to take away. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at any time. Best, AIM Academy

AIM Academy is proud to announce the Summer Programs for 2018!
Since our inception, one of the defining characteristics for our staff was improvement. There are countless late nights where the sole focus is how we can better deliver what we believe is the best quality product in our industry. Simply put, we are confident that the way that we teach and present the material is better than what any of our competitors can provide. Why do we think this? Here are a few reasons: 1. All of our staff and directors are old enough to have mastery of the material, but young enough to build relationships with the students and mentor and guide while teaching. 2. We are still small enough in our operations to provide a more intimate level of care for each individual student. 3. We are committed to each student’s potential - we will always go above and beyond to help anyone who wants and needs an extra push. With that said, we hope that if you are considering a place to invest in this summer, you consider AIM Academy. Please feel free to reach out via phone, text, or email and we will answer any of your questions. As we continue to build relationships with both parents and students, we hope that we can become an institution that greatly impacts the community in producing the next generation of scholars and world-changers. Best, Allan Kim Co-Director We have recently launched a supplement program with a fixed schedule for different subjects throughout the week. The purpose of having these supplement classes is so that students can be extra prepared for their actual classes in school. Unlike our review sessions that happen right before exams, supplements will allow the students to go over material to further understand what was presented to them in class by their teachers.
As 2nd semester of the 2017-2018 school year has started, we will be offering these supplement courses from January 29th until May 18th. Below is the day by day schedule for Monday through Friday and it is highly encouraged that students take advantage of this opportunity. If you have any questions regarding the supplement courses, please feel free to contact us at 818.369.7434 or email us at admin@aimacademyla.com. (Please note that the schedule below is subject to change but parents will be notified of the changes made.) Winter break this year is a little shorter than before, but that doesn't mean that we won't have our Winter Program. It is a necessary part of your Winter break to preview, prep, be mentored, and brainstorm. AIM Academy's Winter Program is designed to help our students preview for the 2nd semester, prepare for standardized tests such as SAT I and SAT II, receive mentorship for the future and even brainstorm for college.
Our typical open study will be closed, and the days and hours will specifically be dedicated to the Winter Program and its schedule. Listed below is the schedule and for any questions and/or concerns, please contact us at 818.369.7434 or email us at admin@aimacademyla.com. Final exams are creeping up sooner than we think, and we have this special finals prep schedule throughout the week to really help our students prepare for their exams. Final exams are supposed to reflect all that the students have learned from the semester and they usually carry a big enough point value in the overall grading process to determine whether a student receives an A or a B in the class. We encourage all of our students to really take advantage of this special preparation sessions to get as much help as they can to do well in their finals.
Last Saturday, we took a field trip down to USC (University of Southern California) for our annual college tour. USC is one of the more well known private universities out here in the LA area with great programs such as business, performing arts, engineering, communications and more. And because we have staff that have attended or are currently attending for undergraduate/post-graduate studies at this school, the tour was expected to be a great experience for the students. Just like a lot of other well known colleges out there, USC is a great school with a beautiful campus. The students were able to visit different buildings and classrooms throughout the campus, including the Cinematic Arts building, science building and many more. During their tour, they were also able to stop by a newly renovated area called the new University Village, which is right off the main campus. There are dorms, a dining hall and even some retail shops such as Trader Joe's. It was a huge upgrade from what the area was like before the renovation, and the students and all the staff ate at the new dining hall at the University Village. As students prepare to move up to college, it is very important to visit different college campuses and to see the different environments. This was definitely an exciting and a fun tour, and we encourage all those who are going into college to take the time to visit different campuses.
AIM Academy is thrilled to announce that we will be having our 2nd annual career fair on Saturday October 7th, 2017. The event will be held at our AIM Academy location in Montrose, California from 1 PM until 5 PM. It is open to members and non-members, and also friends and family who are interested in hearing all about different fields varying from a medical professional to a staff in the mayor's office and more.
